I finally figured out why TV seems to care so much about the shooter’s motivation: because they’re looking for someone to blame. The trouble is, that’s the easy way out. The only person to blame is the shooter, and he’s dead.
The harder question is: why don’t we have a gun control? And TV doesn’t seem to want to dive into that.
